End of week 8

Today is the first day where I feel like I sort of killed it. Been working on this rebrand landing page ticket all week and for the most part it is finished. I then realized that I forgot to add the mobile view banner and had to figure that out. I was stumped and about to give up, but then I reached out to Rachel and she gave me a tip on how to get it to appear. The thing about her is that she will lead me in the right direction without revealing the whole answer, which I love (truthfully I will likely look back and say that she was in fact giving me the whole answer, but for now I want to think that I am doing some of the work). SO I had to figure out how to implement the hint that she gave me and I couldn't figure it out. I was placing the classes in all over the haml file and it kept breaking! I then thought "well maybe I try on the parent class" and boom it worked.

I was happy with that victory, and thought I could end it there. Then I wanted to have all the images pull in from AWS by changing the path and have it pull from there. I was cruising along with all the changes until I got to the flag image, which had a class that it needed for it to be resized. At first the image was showing up with the new syntax but was not rendering properly. Long story short is that I tried every which way and finally got it.

Feeling good just for this tiny couple victories, and I'll settle into the weekend with that.
